Freedom or Oppression?

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

Galatians 5:1

Freedom or oppression, which will it be. There is no middle ground. Either man will demand to be free or the despot enslaves everyone. Historically, American citizens have concerned freedom to be so important that America has fought twice to defend freedom and to end slavery. The price was paid in human lives.

So which will it be now, freedom or oppression? And which glorifies God? It is my belief that only freedom glorifies God. The best decisions come when humans are allowed freedom of thought and expression. Jesus saved us from the enslavement of sin, are we to now enslave ourselves to others? My hope is that we will be able to continue to stand in the comfort of liberty.
